Why Pancakes?

Caley Brach (chef/co-owner) was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Her father, a private pilot, would fly them both to a small golf course café in Emmet, Idaho where Caley would have “the best pancake breakfast”.
In 2003 Caley and her family moved from Boise to Cherry Hill, New Jersey just as she entered her freshman year of high school. That same year, Caley met her now wife/co-owner of TPW, Basia Brach, during high school theater.
Several years later and a couple cross country transitions, Caley and Basia made the big move to beautiful Bend, Oregon in December 2012. Life and 8-5 jobs circulated over the next few years until summer 2015 when Caley made the decision to leave her career and pursue her dream in culinary arts. Caley was fortunate enough to work at a loved café in Redmond, Oregon where she learned what it takes to become a chef.

The Pancake Wagon, LLC made it’s debut on April 29th, 2016. Co-owner Basia, a Registered Nurse, was able to leave her RN position in June 2016 to work alongside Caley with TPW in hopes of launching something great…Purrito’s™ and Pancakes and Puffins™…oh my!

Just as Caley and Basia enjoy expressing their creativity together through pancakes, you are encouraged to as well! The menu is flexible and everything is made fresh to order so go ahead and put all your favorites into one meal! The Emmett Idaho pancake breakfast was a breakfast to remember for Caley. Together, our goal is to be your Bend, Oregon pancake experience. After all, “I do believe we love breakfast together.”™

Does TPW offer Gluten Free Pancakes/Puffins?

While the puffin recipe is in the works, TPW does offer a light and fluffy gluten free pancake option! Try a stack of cakes with your choice of toppings OR a gluten free Purrito!

How long does it take to make a Purrito?

Any item you choose on our menu will be made fresh for you immediately after your order is taken. Wait times can vary, however, the average time it takes to prepare your meal from “pancake batter on the griddle-to-Purrito swaddled up in your hand” is about 7 minutes.

Why do your hours of operation include “or sold out”?

One of the challenges we face as a “micro-restaurant” is space. Space is limited on how much delicious pancake material we can safely store in our 17′ pancake-cookin’-camper.  We strive to provide you with a gourmet pancake breakfast experience. Our pancake batters are made daily & pancakes made fresh to order. We care about food quality & experience coming from TPW. First come, first serve basis (including Puffins).
